101 Ways to Improve Your Community
101 Ways to Improve Your Community stems as a project looking at gentrification within Andersonville in Chicago. The project looks as several ways that this has impacted the community at a micro and macroscopic level. Overall, the question is what can design do as a guiding force against gentrification and can we use greater principles of design as mechanisms for community change, The project consisted of a combined effort of writing a research book along with the help of both historical, socio-political and community resources. Being an election year, the project saw community involvement, especially that of minority communities within the political spectrum as a tool of empowerment ending is a Spanish language "Get out the Vote" campaign.
