Andersonville: Home + Identity
Andersonville served as my first home in Chicago as I was growing up. I had questions about how a home is defined and how the identites of neighborhoods are created. I set out to create a small publication that investigated this topic using only colors that were used in storefronts along Andersonville. Additionally, I created a map that reflected all the research I had compiled. Finally, I wanted to hear back from the community and using the same color squares I asked members of the community two questions: Why is Andersonville home to them and what home also means to them.
